Southeast Asia (SEA) Future of Work Fellowship: Program Overview

In today’s 21st Century communities across Southeast Asia, individuals must consider how they will prepare themselves for their future as workers who are able to effectively develop capabilities and capacities which will give them the confidence and the tools they will need to viably compete for jobs that are not only economically rewarding but also allow them to help create, lead and make important contributions to local and global Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) innovations.

The Southeast Asia (SEA) Future of Work Fellows Institute is a one-year fellowship program that provides an immersive, hands-on, problem-based, blended learning opportunity that will prepare participants to be highly knowledgeable, adaptive, technology-grounded, strategic problem solvers who can fully execute and persuasively communicate across a range of 4IR work environments.  Fellows will be paid a small stipend for successful participation in the program.

Individuals must apply competitively to the SEA Future of Work Fellows Institute. Upon being selected, SEA Future of Work Fellows will participate in an intensive leadership development training program, led and facilitated by leading international experts from the higher education, corporate, government, and non-profit sectors. Institute faculty and mentors will be drawn from experts at Harvard University, Yale University, Brown University, and other outstanding research universities in the U.S., Southeast Asia, and around the globe. Our sponsors and mentors in the corporate and non-profit sectors are from multinational institutions with investments and presence in the ASEAN region. Selected Fellows must be able to commit to the one-year fellowship which includes participation in 3 one-week in-person training, 2 semesters (30 weeks) of on-line training, and 2 months of internship.

The SEA Future of Work Fellows Institute has been developed and will be managed and implemented by the LCLO Group, a social entrepreneurial workforce development consulting firm. The LCLO Group works with public-private partners (higher education experts, corporate leaders, and public and non-profit agencies) to develop and implement solutions to more equitable global workforce development, talent cultivation and training opportunities and resources within the context of emerging regional economies, including Southeast Asia (ASEAN region).
